The Trollstigen is a mountain road in the Rauma Municipality of Norway which attracts petrol heads from all corners of the globe. It is made up of 11 hairpin bends and steep inclines which are up to 9%; this is a challenging yet fun and rewarding road to drive on.
Throughout the route there are viewing platforms where you can stop to take in the amazing scenery and take a break from driving, ready to tackle the next part of the ladder. The Trollstigen is a big tourist attraction, with over 100,000 cars traversing the route every year. Weather conditions limit the opening dates of the road from mid-May to October.
The fact that the Trollstigen region has been declared a national tourist route has led to the development of a museum as well as other tourist destinations in the area.
