Monaco is a Principality bordered on 3 sides by France and the other side by the Mediterranean Sea; it’s most famous quarter being Monte Carlo. Monaco is a very trendy place and a playground for the rich and famous, most notably current and past Formula 1 Drivers.
Monaco is famous as a host for the Grand Prix, which is held annually through the streets of the area. It has been part of the F1 calendar since 1929 and is one of the most notoriously difficult circuits in the sport. There are many winding corners, a tunnel and very narrow roads, making it a challenging race for all participants. Despite the dangers, the track has only claimed one fatality who was Lorenzo Bandini in 1967. This association with F1 has made Monaco a mecca for driving enthusiasts the world over.
The tourist attractions of Monaco are mainly based around Casino’s and fine dining, allowing visitors to enjoy the finer things in life.
